Please read these terms before you use customcmykboxes.co.uk or place an order with Custom CMYK Boxes UK. Using the site means you agree to them. We can update these terms without a separate notice. The version on this page is the one that applies.
We supply finished custom packaging. We do not sell raw board on its own. We may keep a sample of work we produce, and we may photograph it, so we can show the print and structure we are able to make.
Copyright
Text, photos, graphics, layouts, and other material on this website belong to Custom CMYK Boxes UK unless a credit says otherwise. You may not copy, change, or republish that material without written permission. Artwork you send us remains yours, or remains with the person who licensed it to you. You give us permission to use that artwork only to quote, proof, print, and deliver the order, and to keep a production record.
What you may send us
You are responsible for anything you upload, email, or post. Do not send material that you do not have the right to print. Do not send content that is unlawful, hateful, or that copies someone else’s trademark or copyright. We do not review every file in advance, and we are not responsible for a file a customer uploads. We may refuse, remove, or report material that breaks these terms or the law, including when we need to answer a legal request or protect a customer.
The site is for people placing real packaging enquiries. Automated scraping, fake accounts, and other misuse can be blocked, and we may take legal action.
By sending an order you confirm that you are allowed to buy, that you are old enough to enter a contract, and that Custom CMYK Boxes UK may manufacture the packaging from the files and sizes you approved.
Accounts
Some tools need a name, email, and password. Keep the password private. Orders placed through your account are treated as yours, including orders placed by someone you allowed to use it. We may ask for extra business details before a large order is accepted.
Indemnity and liability
You will cover Custom CMYK Boxes UK, and its staff and suppliers, against claims that come from your files, your instructions, or your misuse of the site. That includes a claim that the print infringes someone else’s rights, and a claim caused by sharing your password.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost time, or a missed launch, whether or not we were told it might happen. Our total liability for a claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order.
Returns and reprints
If the print or structure does not match the approved proof, tell us within 3 working days of delivery. We reprint a job that our production team confirms is at fault. We do not refund the order value as cash. Send photographs of the fault, at your cost, within 7 business days of delivery so the reprint can be checked. Rush or expedited fees are not refunded.
Payment, changes, and cancellation
Prices on quotes are in pounds sterling, unless a quote says otherwise. Production starts when we have the approved proof and the amount due, including any tax and shipping shown on the quote.
Send final artwork and sizes before the job is released to print. After the job is in production, content and size cannot be changed. You have a 4 hour window after proof approval to cancel. A cancellation in that window costs £50 plus 5% of the order value. If you cancel after 24 hours, the charge is 50% of the order value, to cover time and materials already used. Cancellation after 24 hours is not guaranteed. We may also decline an order, and we will say so if we do.
Design work
A design-only order is final once it is accepted. Design fees are not credited or refunded.
Tax
VAT is charged where UK law requires it. If you are placing the order on a VAT-registered business and the quote needs your VAT number, send it with the order.
Your artwork
Send print files in CMYK, at the final size, at 300 dpi or higher. If a file is RGB, low resolution, or missing fonts, the print can look soft, pixelated, or a different colour after it is converted, and that result is not a production fault.
You are responsible for spelling, placement, page order, and whether you have the right to print the file. We are not liable if a file is lost in transit to us, though we take reasonable care of files we receive. We can reject a job that asks us to print something unlawful or something that infringes a third party’s rights.
Proofs and colour
Nothing goes to press until you approve a proof, either on screen or as a hard copy if you ordered one. Turnaround time starts only after that approval and after payment is received. Check the proof against your file for type, spacing, bleeds, crops, and size. An on-screen proof can hide a transparency or overprint issue. Lamination and UV coating change how colour looks, and we are not responsible for that shift.
Process colour cannot match a screen or a Pantone chip exactly on every board. Placing the order means you accept that limit. We do not reprint only because a CMYK colour is slightly different from the file you saw on a monitor. A paid hard proof is the way to approve colour on the actual board before the full run.
We are not responsible for errors that were in the proof you approved, including spelling, fonts, die lines, crop marks, cracks on a fold, punctuation, or a finished size that you signed off.
Quantity
We aim to deliver the quantity you ordered. Custom converting can run slightly over or under. A difference of up to 5% is a normal trade tolerance. An under-run is billed only for the quantity delivered. A small over-run inside that tolerance is not billed extra.
Production speed and shipping
The production clock starts when three things are done: the artwork is accepted, the proof is approved, and the amount due is paid. If you chose a speed at order, that speed is the number of business days to print and hand the cartons to the carrier. Approve the proof before 10:00 UK time if you want that day to count.
We plan to ship on time. We are not liable for delay caused by the carrier, weather, customs, or a machine fault. If a delay is caused by one of those events and you paid an expedited fee, that expedited fee is returned. The order itself is not cancelled only because of the delay.
Standard production and shipping is quoted as 10–12 business days, and a faster plan can be quoted as 4–6 business days, to one address per order inside the United Kingdom. Extra addresses are quoted separately. You pay the shipping charges shown on the quote. You arrange customs clearance for delivery outside the United Kingdom. We are not liable for loss, delay, or damage after the carrier has the goods, and we do not guarantee a carrier’s transit time. A claim for a damaged or missing shipment should be raised within 6 business days of the ship date. A wrong address that you supplied can mean a second shipping charge.
Changes
We may change these terms or the website at any time. The new terms apply from the moment they are published. Using the site after that means you accept the change.
